Small Batch Wire Harness Production
We support everything from a single prototype toward higher-volume manufacturing
Flexible, Production-Level Harness Builds Without High-Volume Requirements
Not every program requires thousands of harnesses.
RFA Engineering provides flexible small-batch wire harness builds for customers that need production-quality assemblies in limited quantities. Our current wire harness capabilities support everything from a single prototype or low-volume build through the transition toward higher-volume manufacturing.
This approach is particularly valuable for new product introductions, specialized machinery, pre-production builds, limited-run equipment, test fleets, and programs with changing requirements.
Engineering Support Built Small-Batch Manufacturing Capabilities
Depending on your application, RFA can support:
- Low-volume wire harness production
- Pre-production and pilot builds
- Wire and cable assembly fabrication
- Twisted and shielded cable processing
- Power distribution and panel builds
- Electromechanical sub-assemblies
- Component sourcing and management
- Repairs and rework
- Field installation support
RFA combines engineering expertise with hands-on manufacturing capabilities, allowing our team to support simple harnesses as well as more complex electrical and electromechanical assemblies.

Quality Built Into Every Assembly
Small quantities shouldn’t mean reduced quality control.
Harnesses can be validated using capabilities ranging from basic continuity checks to complex network testing. RFA’s testing capabilities include up to 1,024-point testing, shorts and mis-wire detection, continuity and resistance testing, complex network testing, pull testing, and terminal validation.
A Path Toward Higher-Volume Production
As production needs grow beyond RFA’s intended manufacturing scale, our team helps prepare customers for a smooth transition to higher-volume production. By refining designs, processes, documentation, and production requirements, we help position each program for a successful manufacturing handoff.
When the time comes to scale, RFA can also support the transition to a customer-selected manufacturing partner, helping transfer the knowledge and technical information needed to move production forward efficiently.
This gives customers a flexible, well-supported path from prototype → small batch → larger-scale production as program needs evolve.
